Project to give visibility to Women's Day. According to the UN, In Mexico every day between 9 to 10 women are killed or disappear, this number has created a movement called 8M (march 8) in which women fight for the right to live without violence.
8M is a very important date and to commemorate it I created this piece, in the illustration you can see me talking to my daughter about feminism and the 8M movement, the flowers on her crown are called "Jacaranda" and because are purple, and that is the color used to represent International Women Day, I used it as a symbol to show how I pass the information of this day to her.
In the final illustration we can read "Nos crecieron Alas" which completes an important phrase used in the March 8 protests that go "They sowed fear in us, we grew wings".
